Lizzie Paul named Girls Director of Coaching

SCOR-Meulensteen is pleased to announce Coach Lizzie Paul as the Girls Director of Coaching. This newly-created position allows our club to continue on its successful path with even greater focus on developing top-notch coaches and players. She adds this new title to her current position as Director of Operations and full-time coach.

Lizzie is originally from Manchester, England and moved to Grand Rapids to play soccer at Davenport University (2010-2013). She currently holds the record for most goals in a career (52) and single game goals (9). She was named National player of the week (2010), WHAC conference player of the year (2013), WHAC first team (2012 & 2013), and 2 time All-American. Lizzie lead her team to elite eight national tournament in her senior year. Lizzie graduated with a BA in Marketing in spring of 2014 and MBA in Human Resource Management in spring of 2017. After graduating Davenport University, Lizzie continued her playing career with Grand Rapids FC Women's Team where she currently still plays. In 2017 they were National Champions. 

Coaching experience: Lizzie has coached for a few different clubs and schools within West Michigan. CATS and Vardar West were the first clubs she worked for before joining SCOR-Meulensteen in 2016. Lizzie has also coached high school for several years, starting at Rockford High School in the spring 2014 and 2015 before moving to Grandville High School for 2016 and 2017 season. After completing her 4 years at Davenport University, she was named the first Head Junior Varsity Coach at Davenport University where she worked for 3 years. Lizzie works many camps including Grand Valley State University Camp, Ferris State University, Meulensteen Method, and Barone Shooting Camps.
